Update: Motorcyclist Killed in Evening Crash
A motorcyclist died following a crash with a pickup Thursday evening at Washington and Pleasant Grove boulevards in Roseville.

A man lost his life Thursday evening when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of Washington and Pleasant Grove boulevards.
Roseville Police report that the accident occurred about 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12 when the motorcyclist was riding west on Pleasant Grove Boulevard collided in the intersection with a pickup that was traveling southbound on Washington Boulevard. The motorcyclist, a man who police believe is in his 40s, was ejected from his 1981 Kawasaki motorcycle and hit the windshield of an Audi sedan that was stopped in the left-hand turn lane on Pleasant Grove Boulevard.
The Placer County Coroner identified the motorcyclist as Grant Alan Severson, 42, of Roseville.
According to Roseville Police, witnesses said the motorcyclist ran the red light at the intersection. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision.

Roseville Police Department and Fire Department personnel responded, and paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. No one else involved in the collision reported being injured.
The intersection was closed for investigation until early Friday morning.
