• 82 people arrested, 14k recovered in Roseville retail theft operation, police say (fox40.com) — Roseville police say a four-day “Operation Grinch” retail theft crackdown led to 82 arrests and about $14,200 in recovered merchandise at local businesses. Working with Placer County and neighboring agencies, officers targeted organized theft during the busy holiday shopping season to protect Roseville stores and shoppers.
   

• Roseville bridge displays heartfelt messages in art installation (kcra.com) — A Roseville pedestrian bridge near Royer Park is now lined with more than 300 handwritten “Letters to the Sky,” sharing gratitude, memories, and hopes from community members. Authorities are still releasing details, but aerial footage captured the chase as agencies worked to safely track the suspect.
