• Sacramento man arrested in Roseville mailbox theft case (abc10.com) — Roseville police say a Sacramento man has been arrested after a cluster mailbox was stolen from the 3000 block of Blackwelder Way, disrupting mail service in a local neighborhood. Investigators used city cameras and home surveillance to track a gold sedan and later found a Roseville cluster mailbox in the suspect’s garage. The man faces multiple mail-theft-related charges as the investigation continues.
   

• Placer County Conservation Program Conserves 235 Acres North of Roseville (placersentinel.com) — A major new conservation deal is permanently protecting 235 acres of ranchland and sensitive habitat just north of Roseville, next to city-managed open space. The land, tied to the Amoruso Ranch Community project in Roseville, will stay in cattle grazing while supporting rare species and groundwater recharge. Officials say the project balances West Placer growth with long-term open space and habitat protection.
