Pedestrian Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash at Washington and Main
The suspected DUI driver fled from Roseville Police Tuesday night.

UPDATE:
One pedestrian was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Washington Boulevard and Main Street in Roseville after the suspected DUI driver fled from Roseville Police Tuesday night, Aug. 14.
The intersection was closed through the night and is expected to re-open around 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15.

Roseville Police received a call at 8:04 p.m. Aug. 14 of a reckless driver in a pickup truck who was tailgating, squealing his tires at Washington and Junction boulevards. The driver stopped at a recycling area on Washington Boulevard across from the Placer County Fairgrounds. When officers arrived, the driver gunned his engine and started to drive away, according to Roseville Police. One officer used his patrol car to try to block the suspect from leaving, but the suspect used his pickup truck to push the patrol car out of the way, according to Roseville Police.
The suspect drove back onto Washington Boulevard; officers followed and found the suspect had collided with three other vehicles and struck an adult male pedestrian, who died at the scene, according to police.

The suspect and one of the other drivers were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was treated, released and taken into custody and booked on suspicion of felony DUI and other related charges, pending the investigation.
