Photo Gallery: Roseville Participates in World's Largest Swim Lesson Attempt
Almost 100 Roseville kids participated in an attempt to break a Guinness World Record Thursday morning.
Thursday morning, 99 children jumped into the pool at the Roseville Aquatics Center to be part of an attempt to break a Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Swim Lesson.
Last year, Roseville also participated with approximately 80 swimmers.
The lesson goal is to build awareness about the importance of teaching children to swim to prevent drowning.

From 8-8:30 a.m., swimmers practiced water safety like breathing, floating, safety rules, kicking off the wall and strokes, with the help of instructors.
Organizers estimated 25,000 people around the globe would participate in this year's event.

More than 20,000 people in 13 counties around the globe participated in last year's World's Largest Swimming Lesson event.
