Police Search for Suspect in Wells Fargo Bank Robbery

Wells Fargo in Roseville was robbed Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported.

Roseville Police are searching for a suspect who robbed Tuesday morning.

A man, wearing a black wig, walked into the bank at Sierra College and Douglas boulevards just after 10 a.m. Tuesday, handed the teller a demand note and claimed to have a weapon, according to Dee Dee Gunther with the Roseville Police Department. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, about 5 feet 5 inches. He was wearing a black wig, all black clothing and carrying a green backpack, Gunther said.

No injuries were reported.

Roseville officers conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area, but weren't able to locate the suspect. Due to the ongoing investigation, surveillance photos aren't being released at this time.

Anyone who has any information about this robbery is asked to call Roseville Crime Stoppers at 916-783-7867. 

Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Roseville Police Department's website at www.roseville.ca.us/police (select "Submit a Tip" from the menu on the side), or from a mobile phone by texting "CRIMES" (274637) and starting the text with the word "ROSEVILLE."   No matter how the tip is submitted, tipsters can remain anonymous, and could receive a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
