Roseville High Centennial Celebration Plans Move Forward
Roseville City Council gave the OK for Roseville High School centennial celebration banners to hang Downtown to kick off and announce festivities.

Soon you’ll start seeing banners go up in Downtown Roseville raising awareness for Roseville High School’s centennial celebration. This year marks 100-year anniversary and big plans are underway. The school opened on Sept. 2, 1912, according to the Roseville High School Alumni Association website.
At the Jan. 18 Roseville City Council meeting, councilmembers approved the allocation of $2,250 that will go toward placing banners along Vernon Street to get the community excited about the planned festivities.
The celebration will be held in September, centered around the high school’s homecoming game. During that week, students may hold a parade through town, the alumni association has plans for a concert and also an all-class picnic, Steve Priley, president of the Roseville High School Alumni Association told councilmembers. Also on the horizon is a centennial yearbook featuring photos of the school throughout the years. This yearbook will help the association raise money for the September celebrations, Priley said.
