Roseville Reports Increase In Violent Crimes
Property crimes decreased from 2012 to 2011, according to an FBI report.

Roseville police reported 293 violent crimes in 2012. That’s an increase from the 248 violent crimes reported in 2011.
However, the number of property crimes decreased from 3,541 in 2011 to 3,288 last year.
The numbers were released this week by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which reported a nationwide increase of violent crimes and a decrease of property crimes after compiling crime data from 18,000 jurisdictions in 50 states.

The FBI's Uniform Crime Reports also included the number of police officers in the nation’s police departments.
Roseville has just below 1 sworn officer for every 1,000 residents.
