  1. Roseville has started its groundwater wells to bank additional surface water amid heavy snow and rainfall in winter. Roseville will bank 133 acre-feet of water, which can provide drinking water to about 366 homes for a year. The reserve was used last year to avoid relying on the Folsom Reservoir. (Roseville Today)

Taqueria Los Cantaritos has opened up in Roseville in a space previously occupied by Nela's Mexican Restaurant at 242 Vernon St. They have another location at 5412 Madison Ave., Suite 170, in North Highlands.   3. Roseville's Environmental Utilities is hosting public meetings next month to update customers about proposed water and wastewater utility rate adjustments. There is a proposed 4 percent increase in water in 2023 and 2024 and a proposed 6 percent increase in wastewater in 2023 and 2024.   4. Seoul St Midtown is a new Korean restaurant and bar concept now open in Sacramento at 1521 L St. The owner, Minnie Nguyen, also owns Station 16 and Firehouse Crawfish. The menu includes bulgogi fries, galbi tacos, buffalo kimchi wings, chimaek, and more. (Sacramento Magazine)
  5. At least two people died Friday from flooding in California and another atmospheric river is threatening residents this week, according to multiple news reports. The storm-related event happened in Placer County and San Bernardino County and investigation is still underway into the deaths. A tornado also briefly touched down in Tuolumne County on Saturday.
