Safe & Sane Firework Sales Start Today
There are 15 fireworks stands in Roseville where you can buy fireworks for this year's 4th of July holiday season.

Fifteen local nonprofits and organizations have been preparing for today: The beginning of firework sales.
Safe and sane fireworks go up for sale at at noon today, June 28. Sales continue from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. through July 4. Our map shows all throughout the city.
Safe and sane fireworks are legal in Roseville, but illegal in Granite Bay and unincorporated parts of Placer County. Fireworks can be used in Roseville starting at noon today and through 11:59 p.m. July 4, according to the Roseville Fire Department.

Roseville Fire has zero tolerance for illegal fireworks this year, meaning anyone caught with illegal fireworks will receive a citation without warning. The fine for possession of illegal fireworks can be hefty — you could face a more than $500 fine for the misdemeanor or imprisonment for up to one year. Anyone with a "sufficient amount" of illegal fireworks could face up to $5,000 in fines and/or time in a state prison or county jail, according to the Roseville Fire Department.
Know someone selling or using illegal fireworks? Call the Roseville Fire Department at 916-774-5000. The department fire station at 401 Oak St. will also be used as a drop-off point to turn in illegal fireworks.

Tips for a safe Fourth:
- Have an adult light fireworks
- Whoever lights the fireworks should wear eye protection
- Give adequate clearance when lighting fireworks
- Only use fireworks outdoors away from homes, dry grass and trees
- To extinguish fireworks, submerge them in a bucket filled with water for a few minutes before placing them in the garbage can
