Suspected Drug Dealers Involved in July Armed Pot Robbery Arrested

Roseville Police detectives seized about a pound of marijuana during the arrest of suspected drug dealers, one from Roseville, and another from Citrus Heights.

Two local men were arrested Nov. 3 and Roseville Police suspect their drug dealing led to at the Westfield Galleria at Roseville parking lot July 5.

On the afternoon of July 5, a group of males met in the parking lot of the Cheesecake Factory to conduct a marijuana sale. Instead of paying for the marijuana, the buyers, a group of males from the Bay Area, robbed the sellers of their marijuana at gunpoint and drove away.  Officers spotted their car on westbound I-80, and followed it to the dead end of Kenroy Lane, off Riverside Avenue. 

Two suspects were taken into custody without incident, but Roseville Police officers and neighboring law enforcement agencies searched residential and commercial areas near Cirby Way and Riverside Avenue for hours before finding and arresting a third suspect.  In August, in the Bay Area and returned to Placer County to face charges.

Roseville Police Vice and Narcotics Enforcement Team detectives continued to investigate the illegal drug dealing that led to this violent incident in a busy shopping area.  On Nov. 3, they arrested Sterling Mario Harlan, 33, of Roseville and Austin Tanner Harlan, 19, of Citrus Heights on suspicion of selling marijuana. 

During the arrest, detectives seized approximately a pound of marijuana.  Sterling Harlan has been released from custody after posting a $30,000 bail bond, and Austin Harlan has been released on a $40,000 bail bond.
