Last week in Roseville, we had some big news: The city announced who will be the new Roseville fire chief, a Roseville school board member announced she's running for Assembly District 6 and we had a few reported home burglaries where the thieves kicked-in the doors.

- Two women were arrested Tuesday, Placer County Sheriff's Department said the two are suspected of using counterfeit credit and gift cards in Roseville, Lincoln and Auburn Target stores.

- Linda Park is running against incumbent Beth Gaines for the 6th Assembly District. The news was announced on social media Thursday morning.

- He was recognized, along with other Roseville leaders, during the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce's awards dinner.

- Marcus Reed will be Roseville's next fire chief. He will start next month with a salary of $172,605.
