The 2021 Latina Estrella Awards Honorees

The Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to Recognize Four Leaders with the Latina Estrella Awards

The Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SACHCC) is committed to support and promote leadership that is advancing the economic prosperity of the Latino community. The SACHCC will host the Latina Estrella Awards on Friday, December 3rd starting at 10:00 a.m. at Mesa Mercado in Carmichael, CA. Honorees represent the important role Latinas play across our region as advocates, business owners, and community leaders.

The 2021 Latina Estrella Honorees are:

  • Rising Estrella Award: Paula Villescaz - San Juan Unified School District Board
  • Inspiration Estrella Award: Shayne Corriea-Fernandez - Shayne Corriea Financial Group
  • Champion Estrella Award: Mayor Martha Guerrero - City of West Sacramento
  • Legacy Estrella Award: Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry - 4th California Assembly District

“We are embracing our power in a shifting America. Latinas are a moving force in our communities and an inspiration for future generations. We are proud of this cohort of Latina leaders, and invite everyone to celebrate their accomplishments.” said Cathy Rodriguez Aguirre, SACHCC President/CEO.

These honorees are truly role models in our communities,” said Esmeralda Peña, 2021 Latina Estrella Awards Chair, SACHCC Board of Directors, and Vanir Group of Companies Director of Human Resources. “Our Estrellas have shattered ceilings, risen through opportunity, and exemplify true resilience when facing adversity.”
