1. Parkinson's Is on the Rise in the Sacramento Valley. Dancing and Boxing Can Help (comstocksmag.com) — Sacramento-area residents with Parkinson’s have growing access to innovative local programs, from Rock Steady Boxing in West Sacramento to free Dance for Parkinson’s classes at Sierra 2 Center in Midtown. Regional health systems and the Parkinson Association of Northern California collaborate on clinics, research, and education, making the Sacramento Valley a national hub for movement-based therapies and support.
   

2. Three food-themed businesses are finalists for Calling All Dreamers competition (sacbee.com) — Downtown Sacramento entrepreneurs are vying for cash, mentorship, and storefront space through the Calling All Dreamers competition, which focuses on opening new businesses in the city’s core and Old Sacramento. Three of the four finalists are food-focused concepts, from a food truck park to a family-run sweets-and-play space, with winners to be announced in February.
   

3. Waymos could be coming to Sacramento, but are we ready? 4. Northern California forecast: Pattern change arrives this week. When rain and snow showers return (kcra.com) — Expect a cloudy, mostly dry start around Sacramento before a wetter pattern builds later this week, bringing on-and-off rain to the Valley and snow to the high Sierra.
