Pleasant Grove High School Alum Selected for Television Academy Foundation Internship in Hollywood
Myles Anderson Interns In Music Scoring For The Screen Through Prestigious Program
Pleasant Grove High School alumnus Myles Anderson has been selected for the prestigious Television Academy Foundation Internship program. He is one of 40 students chosen by Television Academy members from across the country for the 2025 Summer Internship program. The Foundation offers paid internships at top Hollywood studios and production companies annually to college students nationwide.
Anderson received a master’s degree in music scoring for the screen at the University of Southern California in 2025. He will be a music intern this summer at Music Box Studios in Los Angeles, through the Foundation’s program.
“Honestly, being selected by Television Academy members still doesn't feel real,” said Anderson, “It is an honor to participate in and be a part of such an influential group of individuals in the television industry. Being selected makes me want to push harder on what I have already worked on as an artist and make those who believed in me proud of their selection.

“I am so excited to be working for my host company, Music Box Studios, for Jeff Russo and his team,” said Anderson. “Not only do they work on some of the most prominent shows of our time, but they continue to carry on legacies while remaining innovative in their musical approaches.”
As part of the program, Anderson also attended a special masterclass on July 8 titled “From Scene to Screen: Inside the Art of Screen Scoring” at the 2025 Festival Napa Valley with Emmy and Grammy winning composer Carlos Rafael Rivera. A protégé of Randy Newman, Rivera has amassed an award-winning portfolio of credits, including Apple TV+’s Lessons in Chemistry and Netflix’s Dept. Q, Griselda and The Queen’s Gambit.

“I want to work in a multitude of careers,” continued Anderson. “I am also a [music] producer as well as a composer, so I want to work on television and film primarily but also release commercial music with my band HALFnHALF. More specifically, I want to compose for children's animation and other grand-scale films like Spider-Man.”
Originally from Sacramento, California, Anderson attended Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove, California.
