Suspicious Package Outside Sacramento Bee Building Cleared

SACRAMENTO, CA — Police determined that a suspicious package outside the Sacramento Bee building was not dangerous and have cleared the scene.

The newspaper's offices were evacuated while police investigated. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.

According to the Sacramento Bee's own report on the evacuation, a security guard noticed the package and called police. The package was reportedly dropped off by bike before 6 a.m.
