Sacramento Woman Killed In Highway 99 Crash
The crash happened Sunday night near Stockton.

STOCKTON, CA — A woman was killed near Stockton on Sunday night after her car collided with the concrete median and then was hit by another car, according to California Highway Patrol.
At around 9:22 p.m., a 30-year-old Sacramento woman in a Chevrolet Malibu was heading southbound on state Highway 99 in the first lane at an undetermined speed, according to CHP.
For unknown reasons, her Malibu traveled into the center median, where the left side of it collided with the concrete highway divider.

Around the same time, a 47-year-old man from Fresno driving a Honda Accord was also traveling southbound on Highway 99, north of state Highway 120, also in the first lane.
CHP believes that the driver of Malibu was either stopped or traveling at a low rate of speed when the driver of the Accord was unable to brake in time and collided with the rear of the Malibu.

The impact caused the Malibu to rotate before it came to a stop on its wheels, facing north on the center median and partially in the first lane. The Accord came to a rest on its wheels facing south in the number two lane.
The woman in the Malibu was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 10:16 p.m, according to CHP.
It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collisions.
