Son Of Rock Legend Suspected In 2 Tahoe-Area Killings
The band formed in California in the 1960s and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

LAKE TAHOE, CA — The son of Creedence Clearwater Revival founding drummer Doug Clifford, 55-year-old Brent Chandler Clifford, has been arrested on suspicion of killing two people in the Lake Tahoe area.
Brent Clifford, of Kings Beach, traveled to Reno on Aug. 9 to visit William Andrews, 68, according to a report in the Reno Gazette Journal. Andrews was later found dead of a gunshot wound.
That same day, Patricia Portella-Wright, 48, Brent Clifford's girlfriend, was reported missing. Her body was later recovered from a ravine off of Mt. Rose Highway.

Police booked Brent Clifford into jail on suspicion of killing both Andrews and Portella-Wright.
Creedence Clearwater Revival, known to fans as CCR, formed in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1960s and rose to international fame with hits including "Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising," "Down on the Corner," "Fortunate Son," and "Who’ll Stop the Rain."

CCR was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.
