1 Person Hospitalized After Vehicle Collision In San Marcos

SAN MARCOS, CA — A person was seriously injured in a solo-vehicle crash in San Marcos Monday.
Authorities responded at around 2:20 a.m. Monday to reports of a vehicle that had veered off the roadway for unknown reasons from eastbound state Route 78 near Twin Oaks Valley Road onto East Carmel Street.
The driver was trapped inside the vehicle for at least 20 minutes before being rescued by fire officials, according to a report from News Flash Media.

The victim was hospitalized at Palomar Medical Center, but was expected to survive, the report said.
