$15K In Jewelry, Coins Stolen From Home At Ramona Winery
As a precaution, deputies were conducting extra patrols at wineries in the Ramona area, authorities said.

RAMONA, CA — Thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and collectable coins were stolen during a home invasion at a winery in San Diego County, authorities said Wednesday.
The burglary happened around 4 p.m. Feb. 23 at a home at Hatfield Creek Vineyards and Winery in the 1600 block of state Route 78 in Ramona, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
The thieves stole nearly $15,000 worth of jewelry and collectable coins, sheriff's Sgt. Daniel Sloppye said.

Suspicious people were also seen at two other wine-producing establishments in the same area that afternoon, though nothing was reported stolen from them, Sloppye said.
The suspects were only described as heavyset men.

As a precaution, deputies were conducting extra patrols at wineries in the Ramona area, Sloppye said.
Anyone with information about the home burglary or the stolen items was asked to call the the sheriff's office at 858-868-3200 or the San Diego County Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-8477. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
