2 Killed, 3 Injured In Vehicle Crash In Chula Vista
The cause of the crash was unclear, but police were investigating.
CHULA VISTA, CA — Two men in their 70s were killed and three other people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Chula Vista, authorities said Tuesday.
The crash happened around 7:45 p.m. Monday when a vehicle driven by a 41-year-old man from National City traveling west on Telegraph Canyon Road collided with an SUV traveling east while attempting to make a left turn onto Apache Drive, according to the Chula Vista Police Department.
Police said the SUV flipped over, trapping the four passengers. Fire personnel extricated them from the vehicle, including a 75-year-old man who died shortly afterward.

The three SUV passengers were taken to a hospital, including a 76-year-old man who also died. The remaining passengers were in stable condition, the department reported.
Officials said the driver from National City was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
