SAN DIEGO, CA — Heading over the hills and through the woods this Christmas? Before the holidays arrive in San Diego, know what Mother Nature has in store for your travel plans or celebrations.

Will we see showers or clear skies this weekend? Though southern Californians aren't in for a white Christmas, the holiday will likely be a washout.

If you're heading out of town after work Thursday, be careful — San Diego will be under a flood watch until Friday at noon.

If you're staying in town on Christmas Eve, expect much of the same on Dec. 24. Temperatures will reach a high of 63 degrees, with a low of 52 degrees. There's a 91 percent chance of precipitation, with rain and breezy conditions in the morning.

By Christmas Day, conditions in San Diego will be drier. Expect a mostly sunny and cool day, with a high of 62 degrees and a low of 48 degrees.
