- It’s San Diego’s most spectacular show. It’s the 2022 Miramar Air Show, and it begins today! “It’s been almost three years since MCAS Miramar was able to open its doors to our neighbors and share in our love of aviation, and I am extremely excited to be able to do so once again,” said commanding officer of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Col. Thomas M. Bedell. "We are proud to call America’s Finest City home and bring back one of the world’s most anticipated aviation exhibitions.” Admission, parking, and blanket seating are free. - It’s a move in the right direction. The Navy will generate Low Carbon Fuel Standard credits when ships plug into shore power. This would limit greenhouse gases for local neighborhoods. “This is a win-win. We are proud to be working with the Navy on this and look forward to cleaner air and improved public health for all who live, work, and play on and around San Diego Bay,” said Port of San Diego Board of Port Commissioners Chairman Dan Malcolm. - San Diego Humane Society: "Our wildlife care specialists made sure the critters in care at our Ramona Wildlife Center stayed n-ICE and cool during the recent heat wave! - City of San Diego: "September is #NationalPreparednessMonth and we're urging residents to take time to review safety procedures at home and work. In San Diego, the threat of wildfires and earthquakes is ever present.
