Here are three of the top stories today in San Diego:
- Using an advanced imaging system, U.S. Customs and Border Protection at San Ysidro Port of Entry found more than $2 million in cocaine about to enter San Diego. Approximately 131.88 pounds of the drug were seized, along with the vehicle. The driver was arrested and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. (CBS News 8)
- Impact Housing will deliver 1,330 prefabricated units to San Diego in the Stockton area. The plan will provide middle-income housing for teachers, public health care workers, nurses, city service workers, and others in the neighborhood. A one-bedroom apartment will cost $1,700 and up per month. Three-bedroom units will cost $2,500 per month. There will be 29 smaller apartments as well as 5 larger units. Occupancy is planned for June. (CBS News 8)
