$53K Reward Offered In 2006 Murder Of Navy Sailor In San Diego
Ronald Harnish, 22, was fatally shot, while a second victim was shot but survived, according to the San Diego Police Department.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities Wednesday renewed their call for help from the public in finding the person who murdered a Navy service member almost two decades in San Diego.
In December 2006, Ronald Harnish, 22, and his friends were driving, then exited the vehicle and got into a confrontation with two males who were standing on the sidewalk in the 1100 block of 30th Street, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Police said one of the males fired shots at the victims. Harnish was fatally shot, while a second victim was shot but survived.

A reward of $53,000 was offered for information leading to the suspect's arrest. San Diego County Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward, Harnish's friends and family are offering a $2,000 reward, and the Governor's Office is offering a $50,000 reward.
