6-Year-Old Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash: San Diego Police

The child, a pedestrian, was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 6-year-old pedestrian died after a hit-and-run crash Saturday, according to San Diego police.

The boy was crossing the street mid-block, heading south on foot around 6:50 p.m. in the 5400 block of University Avenue, when he was struck by a westbound vehicle that fled the scene, police said.

The child was taken to a hospital, where he later died, according to police, who said the driver remained unidentified Sunday.
