7 Adults, Child And 2 Dogs Displaced In Clairemont Fire

A fire in a shed in Clairemont spread to a duplex, officials said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Seven adults, a child and two dogs were displaced Tuesday after a fire in a shed in Clairemont spread to a duplex, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

At 2:34 a.m. Tuesday, someone was smoking in a shed outside of the duplex at 4535 Clairemont Drive when some rags caught fire. The person was able to leave the shed as the fire spread into the residence.

San Diego firefighters arrived and put out the fire and the displaced people asked for the American Red Cross to help them and their dogs.
