SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA — We've rounded up the stories you may have missed over the weekend to prepare you for the week ahead.

But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents should expect a spring warmup to start off the week. Some areas will see temperatures 10 to 20 degrees above normal, according to the National Weather Service.

"Warmer weather will prevail Monday as high pressure aloft continues to build," NWS San Diego forecasters wrote. "Tuesday will continue the warming trend in the mountains and deserts, but slight cooling will occur west of the mountains as the ridge shifts east."

Most residents of a Southern California neighborhood have returned home following a controlled burn of a house where there was a large explosion, believed to have been ignited by fireworks.

In other news, a teen who went missing nearly a month ago was found dead; a man was arrested on suspicion of killing his parents; and a woman suspected of fatally stabbing her Cal Fire captain wife was captured.
