Aircraft Emergency In San Diego Forces Ground Stop: FAA
There was a ground stop on Wednesday night at San Diego Airport.
SAN DIEGO — An aircraft emergency forced a ground stop Wednesday night at San Diego Airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
A private aircraft that was trying to take off from the airport reported difficulty with its landing gear and became disabled on the runway, forcing the runway to close, airport communications specialist Larisa Casillas told Patch in an email, adding there were no injuries to those on board.
"All inbound flights are currently being diverted to other airports," she wrote as of about 7:40 p.m.
