Amazon Semi-Truck Crash Blocks Lanes, Delays Traffic On Interstate 15

SAN DIEGO, CA — A crash involving an Amazon semi-truck blocked lanes Thursday morning on Interstate 15 in Mission Valley.

The crash was reported at 1:35 a.m. on northbound I-15 before Interstate 8, according to the California Highway Patrol's incident log. An Amazon semi-truck lost control, went down an embankment and jack-knifed into a tree on the right side of the freeway.

The crash initially blocked all northbound I-15 lanes south of I-8, according to Caltrans. As of 4:36 a.m., the right lanes remained blocked.

Authorities said motorists should expect delays in the area.
