Authorities Seek Help To ID Woman Found Unresponsive In South Bay Parking Lot

Authorities are asking the public to help identify a woman who died in a hospital after being found unresponsive in a parking lot.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities asked for the public's help Thursday in identifying a woman who died in a hospital after being discovered unresponsive in a parking lot in San Diego's South Bay.

The unidentified woman was found unresponsive around 11 p.m. on Jan. 10 in the parking lot of Palomar Street MTS Station in Chula Vista, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office. She was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista, where she was pronounced dead.

Authorities described the woman as Hispanic or biracial, between 18 and 25 years old, about 5 feet 1 inches tall, and 166 pounds. She had brown eyes and wavy black hair. She had several tattoos, including a rose on the outer corner of her left eye, the name "Samantha" on her right rib cage, the outline of a heart on the right side of her chest, and a money bag on her right ring finger.

Anyone who might be able to help identify the woman was asked to contact the Medical Examiner's Investigations Unit at 858-694-2905. The case number is 2025-00128.
