SAN DIEGO, CA — We've rounded up the stories you may have missed over the weekend to prepare you for the week ahead.
But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents should expect a major cooldown and a chance of thunderstorms this week, according to the National Weather Service.
"Continued warmer inland today with areas of dense fog for coastal areas early this morning," NWS San Diego forecasters wrote Monday. "Cooling will spread inland for Tuesday through Thursday with showers for Thursday into Friday along with a slight chance of thunderstorms for Thursday evening. For next weekend there will be drying and warming with high temperatures for next Sunday still around 5 degrees below average."
