Bagel Chain Opens New Bakery In San Diego's South County

Customers who visit the new location can get a buy one, get one​ free egg sandwich.

CHULA VISTA, CA — A national bagel chain has a new bakery in southern San Diego County.

Einstein Bros. Bagels opened their newest location Thursday in Chula Vista's Eastlake community. The bakery is known for its fresh-baked bagels, signature egg sandwiches and variety of shmears.

"San Diego has always shown us incredible support, and we are so excited to bring our fresh-baked breakfast to Chula Vista," said Adam Modzel, chief operations officer of Einstein Bros. Bagels. "Whether it's a morning bagel run or breakfast for the family, we're here to help start the day right."

The new location marks the 17th San Diego-area store for the bagel brand, continuing its growth in Southern California. The chain has another Chula Vista location at 374 E H St., as well as locations in Encinitas, La Jolla, Oceanside, Poway, San Diego, Santee and Vista.

"Einstein Bros. expects continued growth through California," a company spokesperson told Patch.

Customers who visit the Eastlake location can get a buy one, get one free egg sandwich for the next two weeks when they order in-bakery, online or in the app with the code BOGO.

The new shop is open from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 970 Eastlake Parkway, Suite 107, in Chula Vista.
