Bicyclist Killed In San Diego Crash

The injured cyclist was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 70-year-old man riding a bicycle was killed Saturday when he crashed into a car driven by a 92-year-old woman in the Roseville/Fleet Ridge neighborhood of San Diego.

The crash occurred just before 2:40 p.m. Saturday in the 3100 block of Canon Street, at Evergreen Street, according to San Diego police Sgt. C. Leisz.

"The female driver made a left turn onto Evergreen Street into the path of the cyclist," Leisz said. "The cyclist impacted the right-side rear door of the vehicle."

The injured cyclist was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, said the sergeant.

The woman driving the car was not hurt, Leisz said.
