Here are three of the top stories today in San Diego:
- Could the fire🔥go out? It might! The San Diego City Council will soon vote on whether to extinguish the bonfire-for-hire business. Bonfire rental companies provides the equipment, the raised fire pits, and the beach cleanup. However, the City wants to clarify and enforce regulations pertaining to bonfires on the City’s beaches. "We as elected officials want the regulations that are on the books today enforced. And if you want a little bit of clarity, we're amending the code to provide the clarity because there's been some conflict in some of the language,” Councilmember Joe LaCava said. - A mudslide, you say, in this drought? A water leak caused a mudslide in the yard of a home🏠on Trinidad Way in Valencia Park. Several families were evacuated. The cause: a water leak, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue department. Water was shut off, and a structural engineer was called in to evaluate the situation.
