Booby Traps, Guns And Homemade Bombs Found In Assault Suspect's Home In San Diego County
The suspect was found hiding inside a wall in the home with a firearm, pellet gun and imitation firearm, officials said.
JACUMBA, CA — An assault suspect was arrested after authorities found booby traps, firearms and homemade bombs during a search of his home in southeastern San Diego County.
Deputies served a search warrant at the home of Ross Warren, 40, shortly before 6 a.m. Monday in the 42000 block of Old Highway 80 in Jacumba. The search warrant was related to an assault with a deadly weapon incident that happened on Feb. 22, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.

Warren was found hiding inside a wall in the home with a firearm, pellet gun and imitation firearm, sheriff's Lt. Jeff Ford said. While searching the home, deputies also found multiple homemade explosive devices, as well as manufactured booby traps scattered around the property.

A firearm, pellet guns, imitation firearms, ammunition, explosive devices, booby traps and other evidence related to the investigation were also found inside the home, Ford said.

Warren was booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, child endangerment, possessing and deploying booby traps, and multiple counts of possessing and manufacturing destructive devices.

His live-in girlfriend, Brenda Beltran, 38, was also arrested on suspicion of obstructing/delaying a peace officer, Ford said. She was cited and released.
