Here are three of the top stories🗞️in San Diego today:

  1. Not planning to go to college? Want a career with decent pay and benefits? You might want to consider joining the North County Transit District.🚍Bus operator pay and benefits✨ are rising! “NCTD’s pay and benefits package for bus operators is now one of the most competitive for new commercial drivers in the region, which will help attract new bus operators to fill current vacancies and retain existing employees,” said NCTD Executive Director, Matthew O. Tucker. “In addition to more💲pay, we are greatly enhancing the overall benefits package and continuing to offer sign-on✍️bonuses for new drivers.” To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. 2. International supply chain⛓️issues resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic🦠have popped up everywhere. Now, supply chain issues have resulted in a nationwide shortage of carbon dioxide. That lack of carbon dioxide, which is used to purify water, has resulted in the closure of four municipal pools🏊in the city of San Diego. “As a CO2 replacement during the shortage, maintenance crews will be continually applying muriatic acid, a common chemical used in backyard pools, as a safe alternative and will regularly monitor each pool to ensure pH levels are safe for the public," San Diego County spokesman Jose Ysea said.Unfortunately, the closures come at a time when the heat☀️and humidity💦would normally drive families to use the pools. 3. It’s back! The Encinitas🎼‘Music by the Sea’⛵ series will begin again in September. Scheduled musicians include ‘a rising star 🌟 of international acclaim,’ among other noteworthy performers. 🎶Concerts will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays at the Encinitas Library. So, you can listen to the music, while enjoying an expansive view of the Pacific Ocean.🌊Concerts will continue through June 16. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (Patch)
