Cal Fire Halts 64-Acre Brush Fire In Potrero
Firefighters stopped the fire's forward progress late Sunday afternoon, recording 10 percent containment at 5 p.m.

POTRERO, CA — Cal Fire San Diego firefighters stopped the forward progress of a brush fire in Potrero that charred 64 acres.
As of 5 p.m. Sunday, the fire was 10% contained, Cal Fire officials said. The blaze, near Potrero County Park, ignited just before 3 p.m. Sunday.
Potrero Valley Road between Highway 94 and Potrero Park Drive was temporarily closed, Cal Fire officials said.

As of 6:30 p.m., evacuation warnings were in effect and an evacuation point was set up at Steele Canyon High School, 12440 Campo Road in Spring Valley.
No injuries have been reported.
