​Chase Bank​ Robbed In Imperial Beach

A man possibly armed with a gun robbed a Chase Bank.

IMPERIAL BEACH, CA — A man possibly armed with a gun robbed a South Bay bank Friday.

The robbery at the Chase Bank branch office in the 1100 block of Palm Avenue in Imperial Beach happened shortly after 9 a.m. Friday, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

The robber, who stole an undisclosed amount of money, fled the area south on foot, sheriff's Lt. Dan Wilson said.

One witness reported that the man had a gun, but that account remained unverified at midday, the lieutenant said.
