Chick-fil-A Testing New Treats In San Diego

The fast food chain is testing new menu items at certain locations in San Diego, Salt Lake City, Chicago and Tampa.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Chick-fil-A has started testing new treats in San Diego.

The fast food chain's new menu items include ice cream-based Icedream Spin and Icedream Float.

Icedream Spin features the company's Icedream dessert hand-spun with the customer's choice of fountain beverage. Icedream Float is described as a classic float made with the customer's choice of soda and a swirl of Icedream dessert.

Chick-fil-A started testing the new menu items Monday at certain locations in San Diego, Salt Lake City, Chicago and Tampa.

Customers can check with local restaurants or the Chick-fil-A app to confirm where to find the new items.

"When selecting markets to test menu items, we look at a variety of factors including different population sizes, customer preferences, the volume of restaurants in those markets, etc.," a spokesperson for Chick-fil-A told Patch. "We are excited to see how customers in San Diego enjoy our new treats. Please check with your local Chick-fil-A to confirm test participation."

Seasonal menu items also returned Monday to Chick-fil-A locations nationwide.

The chain's Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich is back with three customizable filet options. The company is also offering several new Pineapple Dragonfruit beverages.
