1. Great news! There’s a new state-of-the-art film📽️+📺 television production studio coming to town in Chula Vista. The City and SDSU have partnered to build an $89 million Cinematic Arts Academic Center & Library. The 168,000-square-foot facility will facilitate the education of a new generation of film students. The facility will be cutting edge. It will include three new soundstages, a digital screening theater, and other amenities that will support cinematic innovation. “I am thrilled to announce our plans to begin construction thanks to amazing multi-agency partnerships. 2. 🌎Global warming has affected our area. The warmer🌡️temperatures have affected both land and sea. Anglers have noted a change. Yellowtail and Yellowfin tuna are in peak season here, but anglers are catching🎣Blue Fin as large as 200-300 pounds off San Diego and Baja. “Typically, an angler would have to go out on a 10-15-day duration to do that, now you can do that on an overnight or 12-hour trip,” said H&M Landing General Manager Frank Ursitti. “It's one of the best years in sport fishing history.” To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link.
