  1. Right now, there are 5,000 broken streetlights in San Diego. However, there are only eight electricians available to fix them. The average wait time for a light to be fixed is approximately 10 months. Supply chain constraints have caused three-month delays. Also, the streetlight repair division is very understaffed. "We've been asked to do more with less," said Derek Mack, who supervises the city's streetlight repair division. "It's nobody's fault, it's just what we have to deal with right now." 2. You have a unique opportunity to support the Ukrainian people. Give blood now through April 5, and the San Diego Blood Bank will donate funds to UNICEF for Ukrainians needing assistance. Won’t you help? To learn more: Click into Parenthesis, then click the link. (KUSI)
  3. San Diego has had some rain in March. How did that affect our drought status? Well, for the month of March, we did pretty well. For the year, not too well. We are still short three inches of rain for this time of year. That means we are in a moderate drought. To learn more: Click into Parenthesis, then click the link. (NBC San Diego)
