Coast Guard Detains 4 Migrants Aboard Boat Near San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA — The U.S. Coast Guard stopped a boat carrying four people near San Diego, officials announced.

A boat crew from Coast Guard Station San Diego intercepted a 15-foot center console-style vessel in the Quivira Basin, according to the Coast Guard.

All four men aboard the boat claimed Mexican nationality, according to the Coast Guard. They were taken into custody by the Coast Guard and transferred to U.S. Border Patrol personnel.
