Coronado Flower Show Ready To Bloom
The 103rd annual Coronado Flower Show is the largest tented flower show in the U.S., according to event organizers.

CORONADO, CA — Spring has finally sprung, which means Coronado's longest running tradition is set to return next month.
The 103rd annual Coronado Flower Show will take place April 12-13 at Spreckels Park. Organized by the Coronado Floral Association, the Coronado Flower Show is the largest tented flower show in the country, according to event organizers.
"The Coronado Flower Show started out as a way to bring our community together through the shared love and pride of our beautiful, vibrant city," said Colby Freer, president of the Coronado Floral Association. "Every spring, we unite in support of this cherished tradition, which brings together neighbors and flower fans from throughout Southern California."

The Coronado Flower Show has been a spring tradition since 1922.
The main event is divided into five divisions — Horticulture, Design, Special Exhibits, Youth and Botanical Arts. The two-day festival includes landscape displays, a variety of floral competitions, educational lectures and demonstrations, live bandstand entertainment, a beer and wine garden, food and shopping.

The Coronado Flower Show kicks off with the local Homefront Judging Competition March 28-30, as part of "Beyond the Tent," an effort to engage and expand the event throughout the island. More than 100 volunteer judges will examine and award competitive ribbons to Coronado home fronts, apartment buildings, condominium complexes, churches, businesses and school gardens.
The Coronado Flower Show will also host Family Movie Night April 11 at Spreckels Park.
The festival will also feature a Saturday night party called the 1922 Club. The event will include food, drinks and dancing under the tents of the Coronado Flower Show.
