- San Diegans need more affordable housing. To this end, San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria has proposed reforms that would bring more affordable housing. “I’m confident that once this new batch of creative ideas is implemented and added to what we’ve already done, it will help us address San Diego’s long-standing housing affordability crisis and prevent more homelessness,” Gloria said in a statement. The proposals include incentives for dormitory-style homes located near universities, as well as the construction of single-room-occupancy hotels. There would also be incentives for developers to build subsidized housing on vacant or underused retail, office buildings, and shopping center sites. - He volunteered at Comic-Con. A day later, he fell ill. Chills, exhaustion, and fever were the first symptoms, which lasted three days. “After my fever broke, that's when I began seeing red bumps throughout my body,” said Manny Soltero. “They sting, they itch, and they’re very uncomfortable.” He tested positive for Monkeypox. Weeks later, Soltero has some 50 lesions spread across his body. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (ABC 10 News San Diego KGTV)
