  2. With $18.5 million in state funding for CaliforniansForAll Youth Jobs Corps, the City of San Diego will help 1,000 opportunity youth from 16–30 years of age gain experience in the workforce. “Employ + Empower provides our youth with a career pathway while compensating them for their work. Our goal is to show young San Diegans the opportunities open to them while they earn a paycheck and gain skills they can ultimately use in their careers,” according to Mayor Todd Gloria. The goal is to train the next group of public servants through the youth internship and jobs program. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (SanDiego.gov)
  3. Where will you be celebrating on July 4? The Big Bay Boom fireworks show, which takes place along San Diego Bay, is the largest and perhaps the best known of the many San Diego celebrations. However, there are several other events around the city and the county that you might want to consider. Learn about more events to celebrate the big day.
