SAN DIEGO, CA — Firefighters battled a structure fire that broke out at a two-story family home in San Diego Saturday.

Units were dispatched at 2:35 a.m. Saturday and arrived a few minutes later to 5839 Grewia St. near the intersection of Ava Street, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

A total of 24 personnel were assigned to the fire, including one medic, one truck and four engines, officials said.

No injuries or evacuations were immediately reported. The city of National City assisted in the effort.
