Here are three of the top stories 📰 today in San Diego:
- Sewage spills from Mexico have fouled the ocean🌊. The spills have also fouled beaches🏖️in parts of San Diego. On Thursday, the U.S and Mexico agreed to spend $470 million to prevent the spills. “We first wanted to identify all the projects on both sides of the border that were the highest priorities, and that each country would fund their respective sides where possible,” said Tomás Torres, director of EPA’s southwestern water division. Mexico will contribute $140 million to the project. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (Voice of San Diego)

- San Diego Police Department: "A man is in custody, and his vehicle was impounded after he took part in an intersection takeover event on Saturday night. On Aug. 13, at approximately 10 p.m., the San Diego Police👮Department’s Traffic Division, in coordination with @chpelcajon Office, became aware of a sideshow 'takeover' being planned within the county. Officers from both agencies monitored these activities and identified six locations." (San Diego Police Department via Facebook)
