Dairy Queen Offering 85-Cent Blizzards: How To Get One In San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA — Dairy Queen is turning 85, and San Diegans are invited to celebrate.

The company is offering its signature Blizzard for $0.85 now through April 6.

To take advantage of the offer, go to the DQ Mobile App. The offer can be redeemed with a purchase of $1 or more.

"For 85 years, we have been serving up smiles, sweet traditions and the most iconic frozen treats around," said Maria Hokanson, executive vice president of marketing at American Dairy Queen Corporation. "We figured what better way to celebrate this milestone than by giving our fans even more reason to indulge in their favorite flavors by offering them an 85-cent Blizzard."

Beginning March 31, the company is also introducing a number of new flavors as part of its "Summer Blizzard Treat Menu" lineup. The new flavors include:

• Mixing Bowl Mashup Blizzard Treat — Brownie batter and chocolate chip cookie dough swirled into DQ soft serve
• Dipped Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard Treat — Creamy cheesecake pieces, chocolate chunks, strawberry topping, and soft serve
• S’mores Blizzard Treat — Marshmallow-filled chocolate bars and graham cracker crunch
• Confetti Cake Blizzard Treat — Cake pieces, confetti sprinkles, and vanilla soft serve
• Cotton Candy Blizzard Treat — Cotton candy topping and colorful cotton candy sprinkles
