Earthquake Shakes Near Borrego Springs In San Diego County

BORREGO SPRINGS, CA — A small earthquake rattled San Diego County Wednesday morning.
The quake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.3 was reported at 9:31 a.m. roughly 7 miles south-southwest of Borrego Springs, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake had a depth of about 4 miles.
Residents reported feeling the quake in Borrego Springs, El Cajon, Julian, La Jolla, Lakeside, Ramona, Santee and Spring Valley, according to the USGS's "Did You Feel It?" map.
